About Ereno

Ereno is a travel companion that researches before it answers.

Most questions about travel do not have a single right answer sitting in one place. The route, the best week to go, the real nightly price, the neighborhood that actually fits your budget: each lives on a different site, and none of them agree with each other. Ereno does the reading. Tell it where you are headed, or where you are thinking of living for a while, and it reads real sources, cross-checks the figures against each other, and comes back with an answer that shows its work: what it verified, and what it could not.

Where the name comes from

Ereno comes from the Greek word ἔρευνα (ereuna): research, inquiry, the careful looking into something. The name is a small promise about how the product works. Not a confident guess from memory, but the habit of asking, reading, comparing, and saying what is still unknown.

That idea grew out of a personal love of travel: the pull of a new city, a ferry timetable at dusk, a neighborhood that only makes sense once you have walked it. Planning those trips used to mean too many tabs and too little trust. Ereno was built to keep the wonder of going somewhere, and to do the patient research that wonder deserves.

Two modes

Trips is for the getaways you actually take. Ask for a plan and you get a day-by-day itinerary, priced and researched: routes, stays, what is worth your time, and what each leg really costs.

Base is for the bigger question: where could you live and work for a while. It researches rent, internet, visas, neighborhoods, and timezone overlap with the teams or clients you would still need to talk to.

How it is different

Most assistants answer travel questions from memory: a plausible-sounding number, generated, not checked. Ereno works the other way around. Every figure it gives you is checked against more than one source, and the verdict is always one of three honest outcomes: confirmed, reported as a range when sources disagree, or flagged as could not verify. There are no made-up certainty percentages standing in for research that was not actually done.

What it does today

Where it is going

Base research is getting deeper, and more of the numbers Ereno shows you will carry the same verified treatment. The free Wanderer plan is enough to plan a few real trips and taste Base mode once. Explorer and Pro add more trips and fuller Base scouting each month. See pricing for the current plans.

Who is behind it

Ereno is built by a small, independent team that lives the problem of needing a travel answer you can actually trust. We do not take commissions to steer you anywhere. The advice is meant to be honest and in your interest.

Start planning: bring a trip, or a city you are curious about, and see what Ereno finds.

Have a question or some feedback? Send it to the team and we will read it.

Get involved

Ereno is built by a small independent team. If it is the kind of product you would build with, or back, we would like to hear from you.

Build with us

The core is TypeScript on Convex with a small Python service for the research turn, and native shells for iOS and Android. If you want to contribute, wire in a data source, or help with the shells, say what you would like to work on.

Back Ereno

We are heading for a beta in October 2026 and are open to investors who know consumer travel or AI products. Ask for the plan, the numbers and a walkthrough, and we will send them.
